Your link adds ?ref= and your pilot ID. Your friend must load the app once through that full URL before friendship — then Pi login and accepting the friend request complete the flow.
Tip: Use the Social chat sidebar (search) to find pilots; jackpot ranks and account are under Pilot Systems.
- Copy invite link — the URL contains ?ref= and your pilot ID.
- Share the full link (Pi chat, Fireside, etc.). URL shorteners must keep the ?ref= parameter.
- After your friend opened the game from that link and signed in with Pi, send a friend request or accept theirs (Social chat sidebar).
- Open the link in Pi Browser first; do not remove ?ref= from the address bar.
- Sign in with Pi when prompted (normal Pi authentication).
- Accept the inviter’s friend request, or send one and wait until they accept.
